Bondi is home to one of Australia's most vibrant running communities. Whether you're a seasoned marathoner or lacing up for your first 5km, there's a run club in Bondi that's perfect for you. All the clubs listed here are community-run, free to join, and meet regularly throughout the week.
Running solo is great, but running with a community is transformative. Bondi's run clubs offer more than just kilometres β they offer accountability, friendship, and the chance to explore the stunning coastal paths of the Eastern Suburbs together. Most clubs meet several times a week, are completely free to join, and welcome runners of all abilities.
Most Bondi run clubs meet in the early morning, typically between 5:30am and 7:00am, to beat the Sydney heat and kick-start the day. Several clubs also offer evening sessions for those who prefer to wind down with a post-work run. Weekday runs tend to be shorter and more intense, while weekend long runs are a staple of the community.
The most popular starting points are Bondi Beach (north end), Bronte Beach, and the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk. Some clubs also run from Centennial Park for a flat, traffic-free route. Always check the specific meeting point for your club as locations can vary β details are listed on each club's card above.
Most Bondi run clubs are free and require no formal registration β just show up at the meeting point on time. Follow the club on Instagram to stay updated on any route changes, special events, or social runs. Some clubs have a brief sign-up process or waiver, but barriers to entry are intentionally kept low so the community stays open and welcoming.
